6th December: Dill Martini
During 2016 we've been enjoying making a wide selection of different Martinis but none will go down quite so well with Smoked Salmon as this aperitif.
The joy with this is you can opt for either infusing the gin or vodka with dill OR your dry vermouth.
As with many in this December Advent series, do play around with ratios. We went lighter amount of dill in the bottle of Dolin vermouth, but for a longer period. So the dill is very present in the drink but without being too dominating.
60ml Sipsmith | 15ml Dill infused Dolin dry vermouth | Lemon Peel w/Dill
**Place a martini/coupette glass in the freezer for a few mins beforehand whilst you fill your cocktail shaker. Add the Sipsmith and the Dill vermouth (tweak ratios if you have a preference for your martini). We shake our for around a 1minute a set aside whilst we grab our frosted, chilled glass. Pour your martini and add a little bit extra of the herb to garnish, with a lemon peel twist wrapped around to for more dill on the nose.**
